About Your Role

We are now looking for a Purchasing Assistant to Åhléns headquarters! As a Purchasing Assistant, you will work closely with the Product Manager in the daily purchasing activities, focusing on efficient and qualitative purchasing administration. It is a broad role where you handle many contact points, and no day is the same. You are responsible for ensuring that our assortment maintains the highest quality by working with product data, campaigns, and internal processes.

Your tasks will include:

  • Managing and updating product, price, and assortment data in our systems.

  • Ensuring correct pricing, campaign coding, and seasonal adjustments of our assortment.

  • Coordinating and managing communication both internally and with suppliers regarding assortment, campaigns, and administrative matters.

  • Proofreading and quality assuring product and campaign information.

  • Actively participating in developing and improving work processes in collaboration with your immediate manager.

  • Taking significant responsibility where your attention to detail and engagement contribute to achieving our goals.

You will be part of an engaged team of 15 people in Åhléns Purchasing and Assortment Organization. You will work closely with Product Managers, other Purchasing Assistants, and Master Data Administrators.

You Bring:

  • Relevant education in purchasing or economics

  • Previous experience in the role of Purchasing Assistant

  • Experience in retail, particularly in the categories of fashion or home is an advantage

  • Good knowledge of Excel

  • Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written

The role of Purchasing Assistant with us involves coordinating and cross-functional work. Therefore, we place great importance on your ability to collaborate and communicate with new contacts and maintain relationships. To succeed in this position, we see that you are solution-oriented and motivated to take your own initiatives. Given that you will have a dynamic workday as a Purchasing Assistant at Åhléns, you are flexible and curious. Furthermore, you have the ability to handle large amounts of data and are organized in your work.

About the Recruitment

The position is a 6-month temporary role starting as soon as possible. You will become part of our team at Åhléns headquarters at Dalagatan 100 in Stockholm.
